Air conditioning tips that will save you money - 5 KSDK
ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Temperatures are rising which means your air conditioner will be running harder than usual, but there are a couple of things you can do to save a little money.
Heidi Glaus got a few tips money saving tips from Pat Dodd with Dawson Dodd Heating & Cooling.
The simplest way to say a little money is to make sure your filters are clean.
Dodd suggests changing the filters once a month when it's hot. He also says don't wait until their really dirty.
He also says don't touch that temperature dial too much. Keep the temperature where you feel comfortable and try to keep your home cooler with shades and curtains.
