Guam Airport to Save $1.3M a Year With Lighting & Air Conditioning Upgrades - Pacific News Center
Guam - Over the next few months, local residents and visitors alike will see and feel changes at the Guam International Airport Authority (GIAA).
The airport has invested $11 million dollars to install and upgrade 18 thousand lights, exit signs, occupancy sensors and other lighting equipment, as well as replace and upgrade its terminal air conditioning system. Components of the air conditioning systems are expected to arrive in October.
The total savings is over $1.3 million a year in power consumption.
Johnson Controls has been contracted to do the project and is expected to complete the lighting upgrades by the end of November or beginning of December.
